The Friday Forum - April 30

It's Friday! Once again, we can put another week behind us and talk beauty together.

Clear the decks! Clear the tracks! You've got nothing to do but relax. Blow a kiss. Take a bow. Honey, everything's coming up roses!

This has been a "recovery" week for me, with my knees on the mend, but still slowing me down. I want to thank everyone who has inquired and let you know that I'm much better now! Not back into overdrive (my usual mode), but I can walk without fear of toppling over or collapsing onto the floor in slow-mo.

I'm ready for The Friday Forum! Most of you know, we "share" information in The Friday Forum. Are you using a fabulous product and want to sing its praises? Tell us about it! Did you find a beauty product disappointing? Tell us why! Do you have questions others might be able to answer? We can help! Want to talk about skin care? I'm game! Just use the comments. We have busy weekends and slow ones on the forum. Either way, I always enjoy hearing from you.

As usual, I will share beauty bits with you over the weekend. I'll put them in the comments, so check for free shipping offers and other treats from beauty companies. I'll be posting the latest ones this evening.

The microphone is yours!

Hey there, happy Friday!

I received your package yesterday, thank you! It's awesome - love the Stila stuff and the samples. Feel like a lucky winner.

Hi Laurie,

Happy Happy to you too!

Thank you. I'm glad you liked your follower prize. Loyd Cassler put your Armani pack together for you, and he even went over to Guerlain and asked them for a couple of nice samples for you. He's so sweet!

Let me know what you think of that UD pencil. It was an exclusive in a set I bought with the intention of breaking the set up. There was a "glitter bomb" in the set intended for my favorite 18-year-old. She will be happy...you got the cool new pencil...and I'll use the conservative ones. :)

Happy Friday!

I'm afraid to ask you about your knee experience since I am heading for a knee replacement in the future, and they are pushing my to try the shots first. I've done a couple of rounds of cortisone which helped me a lot.

I am heading to the mall this weekend to check out some of the new collections, so I don't have much to report yet. I'm still searching for the perfect primer as well as changing my skincare routine for the warmer weather.

Have a great weekend!

I have become the knee problem expert, Kathy. I need two new ones, and I have been holding out. These shots I had weren't cortisone (I've had that too, but with little relief). These shots were an artificial joint lubricant, like going to Jiffy Lube for your knees. :) Everything went well until I tried the new all-in-one-fell-swoop dose. Now, my orthopedic surgeon is encouraging me to think seriously about getting them replaced before too long. He's not a great inspiration, though, since his own knees are a mess.

Guess I'll have to start getting serious about it.

What did you think of the Laura Geller primer? I just bought the Guerlain one (that has the little pink balls in it). Hope to try it for a few days and write up next week. Was testing something else this week. Happy shopping!

Just love that Armani sampler - so thoughtful! The UD 24/7 is a beautiful color and among my favorite liners, so it will be a huge hit!

I must also tell you - I've been using the Josie Maran Argan oil for a few weeks (as well as the primer mist and the spf 40 sunscreen) and I'm in love. Is this stuff magical or what? It has evened my skin tone, healed blemishes and finally helped me heal the dry patches around my nose. Wow - just wow!

Laurie,

I'm quite taken with my Josie Maran products too! I have several new ones to write up. They are so cool!

As for her Argan Oil, it should be part of everyone's life. It's that good. Hard to think of too many products that offer something for EVERYONE.

Twitterland sure is "interesting." This morning, I got up to find I had a new follower, a gal with a very sexy photo. Always curious about the Tweeps who follow me (and in some cases why!), I went to check her out and learned that she had already been suspended. I'm afraid Lorena may have crossed a line, and I don't mean "picket."

Sometime overnight, my follower number increased by one and then decreased by the same. :)

My thanks to those of you who do follow - and stay! Love you!
